About the role

The Account Details Experience team is a product team working across the Wise product to help customers discover and embrace Wise for seamless third-party payments.

Our mission is to empower millions of users to effortlessly receive and manage money across borders, transforming how the world pays and gets paid. We're driven by a relentless pursuit of innovation, constantly expanding our product offerings and eliminating friction to make global finance truly borderless.

We proudly champion 8+ local and 17+ global account details, working hand-in-hand with regional teams to ensure unparalleled convenience for our customers. From receiving with account details to leveraging diverse payment methods like card, Pay with Wise, and open banking, we enable powerful link products, invoices, profile links, direct debits, and effortless integration with online marketplaces.

What will you be working on?

In this role, you'll own the iOS experience as we redefine the customer experience, establishing "receive" as the foundational pillar of our account offerings. You’ll also support the expansion of our alias implementations, unlocking new levels of convenience and flexibility for our customers. Imagine enabling seamless payments through a wider array of personalized identifiers, making receiving money as simple as sharing a name or a preferred handle.

We're looking for an autonomous and proactive iOS Engineer who thrives on taking ownership of their work. This is far more than just a coding role; you'll be a key product partner for both teams. We expect you to challenge our thinking and help shape the product roadmap. You'll be deeply involved in the entire lifecycle, from initial ideation and definition right through to building and shipping new, high-impact features from the ground up.

Being a member of Mobile engineering, you are also encouraged to influence other parts of the app, collaborate with 60+ other mobile engineers and help raise both the UX and code quality across all Wise customers. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring the solutions you build scale and fit well in order to achieve a high quality global product and collaborate often with your peers across other teams as well.

Qualifications

What do you need?

We are fully aware that it is uncommon for a candidate to have all skills required and we fully support everyone in learning new skills with us. So if you have some of those listed below and are eager to learn more we do want to hear from you!

  • Proven experience in building and deploying an app that delight customers

  • Strong proficiency in Swift

  • Familiarity with software architectural patterns like MVVM, or VIPER, or TCA. (We use VIPER and MVVM but are open to exploring new approaches)

  • Desire to write testable code

  • Understanding of REST API design

  • Strong product mindset and passion for user experience, with a focus on prioritising work that addresses user needs and making data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, as well as independently and proactively solve problems. 

You may also have

  • Any experience with SwiftUI, Structured Concurrency would be great!

  • A background in Fintech is a plus, but not required
