As a Senior iOS Developer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of the Malwarebytes Mobile Security app, built with a SwiftUI-first approach and continuously evolving toward a more modern architecture. You’ll help drive the transition from RxSwift to Swift Structured Concurrency (async/await), improving performance, scalability, and developer experience across the codebase.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and contribute to the evolution of the app’s asynchronous architecture, transitioning from RxSwift to Swift’s Structured Concurrency (async/await) to improve code clarity, maintainability, and performance.
- Build the Malwarebytes Core Product iOS app
- Develop features including VPN, SMS/CallKit, Safari extensions, and cloud-based services within a modular SPM architecture.
- Write high-quality, scalable code, troubleshoot issues, and ensure strong app performance.
- Solve complex challenges involving background processing, app extensions, and multi-process environments.
- Work with modern iOS technologies and contribute to new product ideas and prototypes.
Skills You'll Need to Have:
- Strong experience with RxSwift and/or Combine, with exposure to or interest in Swift Structured Concurrency (async/await).
- Expert-level experience with Swift and SwiftUI, with SwiftUI as a core production UI framework.
- Solid iOS development experience with published production apps.
- Strong MVVM architecture experience.
- Experience building scalable, high-quality mobile applications.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.
