Job Description

Development is the largest discipline at Endava. Our developers design, build, and release software products in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and libraries. Always collaborating with cross-functional project teams, our developers are adaptable problem-solvers with a client-oriented mindset.

Our client is a global tech company that among other products also creates beautifully designed and engineered audio and video products that let you be seen and heard with incredible clarity.

You would be a part of a well-organized team working on an existing iOS client application that allows users to manage their Bluetooth headsets.

The key features include device firmware upgrade, device settings control and cloud communication. The application is fully written in Swift, with extensive use of SwiftUI and RxSwift frameworks. 

We hope you can bring your expertise and contribute to both the maintenance of the existing application and new feature development and potentially take the lead role on the project in the future. A sense of ownership and proactivity is more than welcome.

This is a hybrid (remote/office) position. The project involves working with hardware and you would need to come to the Belgrade office maybe 2 times a week on average, based on the project requirements.

As a Senior iOS developer, these will be some of your key responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Designs, estimates, and implements technical solutions for medium/high complexity applications.
• Participates actively in all phases of the application development lifecycle.
• Collaborates with various project stakeholders to provide support for clarifying requirements, processes, architecture, and priorities.
• Recommends and promotes IT industry standards, tools, and practices (DevOps, etc.) to achieve well-engineered software products.
• Proposes improvements and escalates risks/issues related to development activities.
• Participates in the review of the work done by development team members.
• Learns and applies new technologies, practices, and tools as appropriate to the project.
• Participates in internal and external tech communities, events, etc.
• Shares experience and knowledge gained from projects.

Qualifications

Key requirements:

• 6+years of experience in iOS mobile development
• Strong understanding of different common programing paradigms (OOP, Functional, etc.).
• Strong familiarity with design/architectural patterns and clean code principles(e.g. SOLID, GoF, MVVM)
• Proficient in relevant programming languages, frameworks and tools such as Swift, SwiftUI, Xcode, iOS SDK.
• Practical experience in platform specific database systems and SQL.
• Good understanding of version control systems like Git or similar
• Solid experience with testing and mocking frameworks
• Familiar with common communication protocols and standards such as HTTP, REST, JSON, TCP/IP and others.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, KANBAN).
• Good problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.
• Educational background in computer science or equivalent

In addition to the essentials, it would be great if you have:

• Experience with working in reactive frameworks (RxSwift, Combine)
• Previous experience working with Bluetooth peripherals on iOS through the ExternalAccessory framework
• Experience in drawing various types of software diagrams
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices
