Key Responsibilities:- Investigate and manage claims related to failed or delayed trade settlements, including CSDR/Interest charges.
- Monitor and reconcile settlement discrepancies across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, and FX).
- Liaise with custodians, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure claims are accurately tracked, documented, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Analyze root causes of claims and work with relevant teams to drive long-term resolution and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of all claims activity and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Support periodic reporting and analytics related to custody claims, penalties, and trade failure trends.
- Collaborate with onboarding, settlements, and reconciliation teams to ensure alignment on trade lifecycle processes.
- Stay current with regulatory developments, especially CSDR and other trade settlement regulations, and assess their impact on claims processes.
- Prior experience specifically handling CSDR claims and penalties.
- Exposure to multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and FX.
- Knowledge of custody operations and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–6 years’ experience in investment operations, trade settlements, claims management, or related roles.
- Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and CSDR regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external counterparts.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with operational/trade support systems. Experience with reconciliation tools is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency with Excel.
- Prior experience with Bloomberg AIM, custodian portals, and other financial systems.
- Prior experience in middle office operations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
