Senior Investment Data Analyst
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investments Data team at Marsh on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover parental leave. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role sits within the Marsh Pacific investment data function and supports the implementation and ongoing operation of an investment data management capability. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across investments, operations, portfolio implementation and technology to analyse, manage and improve investment data feeds, governance and reporting.
We will count on you to:
- Analyse, validate and manage investment data feeds across a range of asset classes and data types
- Manage routine BAU tasks as needed and provide day-to-day operational oversight
- Support the implementation and ongoing operation of the investment data management platform
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve data issues and improve data quality
- Contribute to testing, process mapping, documentation and governance activities
- Support broader project tasks and cross-team initiatives as required
- Provide clear analysis and subject matter input to help strengthen data management practices
What you need to have:
- Degree qualification in finance, economics, mathematics or a related analytical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in investment data analysis within a multi-asset manager, superannuation fund or similar environment
- Well-developed knowledge of investment, custody and financial market data, instruments and data feeds
- Experience using Excel, VBA, SQL, relational databases and analytical or reporting systems
- Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to communicate clearly with investment professionals and internal stakeholders
