We are looking for a high-energy, analytical, and driven Senior Investment Associate to join our Ventures team in Cape Town or Johannesburg.

As a Senior Investment Associate, you will be deeply involved in all elements of deal-making, supporting Principals throughout the end-to-end transaction cycle. You will feel a strong sense of ownership, managing complex, fast-moving processes while driving value creation.
Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Proactively identify and screen innovative investment opportunities.
- Due Diligence Management: Manage specific workstreams within the due diligence process, performing deep-dive fundamental strategic analysis.
- Financial Modeling: Apply strong financial modeling skills across debt, mezzanine, and equity structures.
- Transaction Execution: Support Principals in the end-to-end investment cycle.
- Portfolio Support: Occasionally collaborate with Post Investment Management (PIM) team to drive value in portfolio companies.
- Networking: Build and maintain a robust network to bolster deal origination.
Requirements
- South African citizen
- BCom (Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Law, etc.)
- An MBA, CA(SA), or CFA advantageous
Experience
- 4–5 years in equity/mezzanine/debt investing or business consulting with a Tier 1 strategy firm, with exposure to private equity (especially VC) due diligence.
- Alternatively: Experience in highly analytical roles within investment banking, venturing, or small business management.
- Proven ability to apply sound business judgment, interact with senior executives and entrepreneurs, and manage complex processes.
