For us, these are exciting times. There’s a real potential for big thinkers to help us redefine what financial services could be. And turn our legacy into something even more positive and powerful for the future.

Help people create their tomorrow, while you create yours

We help people with their banking, super, retirement and finances. Through upturns, downturns, recessions, and major life transitions. Every day, we help people see and make more of their financial potential, so that they can create their tomorrow. And we’ve been doing it for over 170 years.

If we do our job well, we genuinely add to the prosperity of our country and its people.

The Senior Investment Analyst / Investment Analyst ESG plays a key role in delivering AMP’s investment and sustainability strategy. This role focuses on ESG research, investment manager assessment and stewardship, and the ongoing management of sustainable investment universes across AMP Platforms and superannuation funds. You’ll help ensure ESG integration is robust, compliant and aligned to evolving member, regulatory and industry expectations.

How will you make an impact

  • Contribute to the delivery of AMP’s sustainability strategy, including management of sustainable investment frameworks across platforms, managed portfolios and superannuation funds
  • Lead ESG research and analysis, combining qualitative and quantitative insights to assess investment managers, funds and ETFs
  • Support the selection, monitoring and oversight of ESG and sustainable investment options to achieve strong investment outcomes
  • Implement and enhance ESG compliance processes to meet regulatory, PRI and industry obligations
  • Prepare accurate and timely ESG compliance, disclosure and reporting outputs
  • Partner closely with Portfolio Management, Product and broader Investment teams to embed ESG considerations into investment decision-making

What you will bring to the role

  • Proven experience in investment research, fund manager research and/or investment consulting
  • Demonstrated experience across investment structures such as unit trusts, ETFs, LICs, discrete mandates and listed securities
  • Excellent ESG and sustainability research capability, including manager assessments, ESG data analysis and stewardship practices
  • Sound understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment within financial services and superannuation
  • Advanced analytical skills, attention to detail and technical investment knowledge and ability to manage large datasets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ESG concepts and research into clear insights
  • Proficiency in tools such as Morningstar Direct, MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Python, R or AI-enabled analysis is highly regarded

Who you are

You’re a thoughtful and values led professional who understands that while technical capability matters, real impact comes from how you work with others. This is a unique role that suits someone with a investment management experience, as well as someone with solid experience who is deeply passionate about ESG and sustainable investing. You’re motivated by meaningful work and take pride in contributing to outcomes that benefit members, customers and the broader community.

You bring sound judgement, adaptability and a calm, solutions focused mindset. You’re genuinely curious about the ESG and investment landscape and take initiative to stay across evolving market practices, emerging thinking and industry developments. You’re comfortable navigating change and ambiguity, and you’re motivated to keep learning and growing in a constantly evolving field.

Above all, you value teamwork and development. You enjoy working in a collaborative, supportive environment where ideas are shared, challenge is constructive and success is collective. You’re keen to build on your existing experience, deepen your knowledge and contribute thoughtfully while learning alongside others, believing that the ability to work well within a high performing team is just as critical if not more so than individual technical expertise.
