The Role

The Senior Investment Accountant plays a key role in supporting the accounting, tax, reporting and operational requirements of IFM's investment products. Working across a diverse portfolio of funds and mandates, the role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance and operational excellence while partnering with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Preparation of asset valuations, income streams and associated structuring of the assets.
  • Production and validation of unit pricing. 
  • Preparation and review of NAV calculations for SMAs. 
  • Oversee external fund administrators and their deliverables.
  • Manage unit registry operations and distribution processes.
  • Prepare and/or review regulatory and compliance reporting, including Form PF, AIFMD, and banking covenant reporting.
  • Hedge book & FX maintenance, including liquidity management.
  • Review of all specified information to unit holders, including prices, statements and AD HOC requirements.
  • Conduct tax reporting and payments including direct and indirect taxes.
     

Your Background and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Investment Accounting.
  • Tertiary qualification in law, commerce, economics, finance or related field.
  • CA/CPA qualification.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Detailed understanding of all taxation issues, accounting standards, regulations and governance requirements as they relate to wealth management/financial services.

Skills Required
