Location: Hamburg 

We are looking for a Senior Internal Communications Manager (f/m/d) to lead the development and execution of internal communication across the European region. As the internal voice of the company, you will work closely with regional stakeholders and global teams to ensure alignment and consistency of communication across markets. Operating as a senior individual contributor with a high degree of autonomy, you will play a key role in strengthening employee engagement, reinforcing company culture, and supporting Freenow’s strategic business priorities while positioning the company as an employer of choice.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:
  • Build and execute internal communications strategies across Europe to inform, engage, and align employees with business priorities
  • Design and lead internal communication campaigns that reflect regional needs while staying aligned with global direction
  • Plan, create, and deliver clear and engaging communication across key channels such as Slack, All Hands meetings, email, and intranet
  • Roll out and adapt global communication to ensure local relevance and impact
  • Work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to shape messaging and ensure consistency across the organization
  • Develop compelling storytelling and campaigns that bring the company’s culture, strategy, and people to life
  • Manage the communication calendar, ensuring clear prioritization and timely delivery of key messages
  • Improve internal communication infrastructure by introducing new tools, formats, and ways of working, including leveraging AI where relevant
  • Act as a trusted advisor on sensitive and complex communication topics, including change management initiatives
  • Strengthen company culture through effective communication, events, and dialogue formats
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
  • University degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5–7+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or employer branding, ideally in a multicultural and matrixed environment
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing internal communication strategies across multiple channels and formats
  • Strong experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing across different levels of the organization
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate business priorities into clear and engaging narratives
  • Experience with digital communication tools and platforms such as Slack, MS Teams, or intranet systems
  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies that enhance communication effectiveness and content creation
  • Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
