Senior Internal Auditor

What will you work on?
The Senior Internal Auditor will help develop and deliver on a global internal audit plan for the company as well as support the certification of internal controls over financial reporting (NI 52-109) at Spin Master.
How will you create impact?

• Contribute towards the evolution of the Internal Audit team through use of data analytics, automated audit techniques, leading educational efforts with management around controls, and exceptional relationship building skills.
• Contribute to the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting annual risk assessment, scoping and planning exercise aligning to NI 52-109 requirements;
• Perform financial, operational, IT, or compliance audits using a risk-based methodology to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the programs and controls established to mitigate risks;
• Effectively design and perform audit tests of controls;
• Evaluate the completeness and accuracy of information that supports the controls;
• Assist in identifying, reporting and tracking deficiencies, opportunities for improvement and related action plans
• Identify, document, and communicate to respective process owners the areas of process improvements, and work collaboratively with process owners to support those improvements;
• Prepares audits reports, which include the development of clear, constructive, and actionable recommendations to address risks identified.

What are your skills and experience?

• A minimum of three years of progressive experience in compliance or audit.
• A professional designation in the area (CPA, CIA, or CISA), or pursing an audit designation is a plus.
• SAP S/4HANA experience is an asset.
• A strong knowledge of internal auditing and control standards.
• Knowledge of COSO/COBIT,  risk-based audit methodology, and NI 52-109 standards.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $80,000 to $95,000 per annum. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master ltd. is a multi-provincial employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other provinces.
