About the role
As a Senior Interactive Designer at Persona, you’ll be joining our growing Brand Studio, servicing the companies creative needs and pushing forward the next iteration of our brand across our digital surfaces.

With a primary focus on the marketing website, you will help drive design exploration and updates, through both hands-on design and helping guide the design team. You’ll work at every stage of a project from initial concepts through production, setting the bar with highly-considered and expertly crafted digital experiences. You’ll need an good understanding of what it takes to build, iterate and maintain a thoughtful design system, while always looking for ways to level-up and push towards something even better.

This role requires a high level of collaboration and the ability to manage multiple projects of different scopes across the team and company. With a rebrand having just kicked off, this is a great opportunity to help us push the visual design system and create real impact on the future of the brand.

What you'll do at Persona

  • Work cross-functionally to design and deliver premier digital experiences for our marketing website and other interactive projects (such as event kiosks or digital collateral)
  • Lead the design of the marketing website, from managing the day to day site updates and needs with the web design team to finding ways to elevate, refine and push our online experience
  • Collaborate closely across design and engineering to create polished, world-class digital experiences
  • Support delivery of final creative from concept to prototyping and production ready-files
  • Work to elevate the design standard within the brand team and assist in helping raise the bar for how brand is applied within product design
  • Play an active role in building a team culture of craft, feedback and collaboration
  • Give and solicit feedback from designers and cross-disciplinary partners
  • Develop a deep understanding of Persona’s brand and play an integral role in how it evolves

What you'll bring to Persona

  • A strong, interactive-focused portfolio that demonstrates passion for craft and technology coupled with an understanding of audience and their motivations
  • 5+ years experience in an agency or in-house environment with a focus on digital experiences and website design
  • An excellent understanding of UX principles and the ability to turn those into intuitive, empathetic experiences
  • Enthusiasm for building cohesive visual design systems and curious about pushing things beyond the status quo, always looking for ways to elevate design regardless of scale or past precedent
  • Ability to self-start projects with minimal oversight, while accounting for proper sharing and visibility with the team.
  • Collaborative in nature, both within the department and beyond
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and timelines concurrently
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to present and speak to every aspect of a project, sometimes to the executive team
  • Fluent in industry standard tools and creating production-ready files (we work with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Notion and various prototyping tools such as Protopie). Experience with code and code-based animation (such as WebGL, Framer, etc) is a plus

Compensation & equity
This salary range is the estimated base salary range. Base salaries are just one component of the total compensation package and are determined by a number of factors such as years of experience, expertise, qualifications and more. In addition to base salary, we offer competitive equity packages that play a big part in recognizing you for the huge impact you will have on helping us achieve our mission. Please note, the salary range is a guideline based on market data for roles located in the San Francisco Bay Area, and may vary depending on location. Salary ranges are subject to change without notice.
