What You’ll Do (Impact Areas):
• Design, program, and implement automatic control systems using PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and industrial robots for new and existing equipment.
• Develop and integrate control logic (ladder, SFC, STL, etc.) for new or existing equipment.
• Coordinate programming and commissioning of automation equipment, including robots and automated cells.
• Diagnose and resolve complex failures in control and robotics systems. Provide second- and third-level technical support to maintenance, process, and operations teams.
• Develop condition-based maintenance routines for automated systems and robots. Manage digital assets: PLC backups, robot routines, drawings, technical documentation, etc.
• Configure and maintain industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.) ensuring integrity, availability, and redundancy.
• Participate in OT architecture design and coordinate with IT to establish clear boundaries between IT/OT environments.
• Apply industrial cybersecurity practices (IEC 62443, NIST), including access control, backups, segmentation, and patching.
• Participate in security audits and risk assessments (HAZOP, LOTO, SIL).
• Ensure automation systems meet operational process requirements (pressure, temperature, flow, mixing, etc.).
• Adjust control logic and algorithms in collaboration with process engineering to implement functional improvements or new production recipes.
• Participate in system validation and engineering modifications ensuring testing, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead or collaborate on technology improvement projects focused on conditionbased maintenance, process efficiency, quality, or failure reduction.
• Analyze bottlenecks, energy consumption, and process variability, proposing automation or operational sequence adjustments.
• Implement advanced control systems (PID, cascade, feedforward) and statistical process control (SPC).
• Evaluate and propose solutions based on IIoT, edge computing, machine vision, artificial intelligence, or automatic diagnostics.
• Select smart sensors, actuators, precision controllers, or vision systems in coordination with process engineering.
• Design and adapt intuitive HMI/SCADA interfaces that meet operational needs (KPIs, trends, alarms, traceability, etc.).
• Ensure traceability of critical process data, events, alarms, and operating conditions with a focus on regulatory compliance.
• Actively participate in root cause analysis (RCA) integrating process data and control system events.
• Identify failure patterns and correlations to improve operational and technological reliability.
• Train technicians, operators, and engineers on the use, adjustment, maintenance, and operational criteria of automated and robotic systems.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering. Professional
Experience:
• Over 5 years of experience in design, operation, and improvement of industrial automation and robotics systems.
• Skilled in industrial robots, SCADA, and PLCs from various brands (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, etc.), as well as industrial networks.
• Proven background in implementing and maintaining PLCs, SCADA systems, robots, and automated control networks.
Technical Knowledge:
• Advanced programming of PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and field buses (preferably Allen Bradley or Siemens).
• Industrial networks (managed switching, VLANs, industrial firewalls). Programming of industrial robots.
• Design of automated/robotic cells and associated safety systems. Integration of sensors, vision systems, actuators, robots, and control systems.
• Industrial cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82).
• Integration with MES/ERP systems is desirable.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Project management and coordination abilities.
• Leadership and team development (training and supervision of technical staff).
• Effective communication across departments and with external suppliers.
• High level of organization, proactivity, and attention to detail.
Languages: • English: Advanced (minimum 80% proficiency).
