Title: Senior Instructional Designer

Are you an experienced instructional designer who wants to be a leader and innovator on a global sales enablement team? Are you excited about defining best practices to create content quickly and efficiently, in order to elevate skills and increase sales performance?
What You Will Do

Collaborate with Trimble’s Sales Enablement team as well as subject matter experts & sales leadership to create innovative and engaging training to support key product launches and ongoing enablement.

Record, edit, and produce video content

Package videos into learning modules
-
Create learning aids
-

Create instructional materials that are functional, intuitive, informative, interactive, and consistent with sound instructional design principles to assist product and skills training.

Use best practices to identify learning objectives, performance outcomes, and evaluative strategies to deliver content.

Consult with Program Managers and subject matter experts to identify learning gaps and content requirements

Identify innovative and effective techniques for rapid content creation and translation

Provide leadership and define best practices for our LMS, specifically for improved user experience and back-end administration

Regularly report out on projects, tracking towards team goals

Work with Program Managers to ensure all materials adhere to Product Marketing and Sales Enablement standards

Add content to learning/content management systems and invite/assign/launch learners to appropriate content.

Provide basic administration and training for sales enablement tools
What Skills, Knowledge & Experience You Should Bring:

Self-Management & Soft Skills

Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a complex, changing business environment. Demonstrated success working with a blended team of remote and in-office team members. Experience with coaching instructional design team members.

Experience defining instructional best practices and implementing them across global teams.

Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and flexibility in dealing with frequent changes or unexpected events.

Communicates effectively and proactively, both verbally and in writing.

Problem-solving, prioritization and time management skills

Strong customer-service orientation and commitment to ensuring timely, quality solutions to customer issues

Education & Technical Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Adult Education/Learning, Instructional Systems Design or equivalent experience

8+ years of work experience in instructional design or video production, preferably with a software company

Experience using multimedia authoring tools (Camtasia, Articulate Storyline & Rise 360, Adobe) to develop online learning

What Skills, Knowledge & Experience You Could Bring:

Experience as an administrator of learning management systems and/or sales enablement platforms [such as Docebo, Gong, Seismic Learn (formerly Lessonly)]

Working knowledge of streaming audio and video, compression methods, e-learning development, file types, and format.

Experience with sales enablement, adult learning and instructor-led training development & best practices
-
Experience creating job aids, presentation materials, and other sales support materials

Experience with technical writing, script development, storyboarding

Experience using the Google Suite

The AEC Sales Enablement team is global, with a high concentration of the team sitting in Westminster, Colorado or Portland, Oregon.

AEC Sales Enablement focuses on supporting our Architecture, Engineer, Construction & Owners Sector, but also serves as a leader within the organization for operational efficiencies, training quality and development of best practices across Trimble. We support sales, sales enablement, product marketing, sales operations and customer service/support teams with regular cross-collaboration into strategic initiatives across the organization.
