About the team.
The Senior Insights Manager at McCain ANZ is a strategic insight leadership role critical to supporting decision-making across marketing, innovation, category, and sales. This position combines expertise in consumer insights, data-driven analytics and marketing ROI evaluation to support the business to strategically drive growth strategies, enhance brand positioning and improve marketing effectiveness. As a key member of the Marketing Department, the role involves leading high-quality qualitative and quantitative research, analyzing third-party reports and internal data and translating findings into actionable insights. The Senior Consumer Insight Manager serves as an inspirational leader at McCain ANZ, presenting compelling recommendations to cross-functional teams and fostering a consumer-centric organisation.

- Advocate for bringing the voice of the consumer to the forefront of the business
- Drive clear understanding of consumer motivations and trends
- Drive best-practice in the generation of market insights to shape the decisions our business makes around key brand and innovation initiatives to drive accelerated growth in profit and market share
- Partner closely with Senior Business Leaders to execute innovative custom research that provides unique view into consumers and answer key critical business questions to drive long-term growth agenda and business success
- Management of research processes covering brand/equity tracking and evaluation, innovation testing and creative testing
- Working collaboratively with the wider marketing team to develop consumer centric marketing plans
- Coaching and development of sales, marketing and category teams on insights into propositions
- New Business support to marketing team on retail and foodservice pipeline development and validation, underpinned by insights
- Synthesise data across multiple sources to develop insights, drive strategy and business growth
- Leader on Demand Space [global consumer insights] - overall champion of consumer insights
- Set the research agenda, designing and approving research to answer business issues
- Develop effective and integrated working relationship with all agencies involved and then management of those relationships
- Push the boundaries of research to deliver narratives that are compelling, influential and disruptive

About you.
Experience:
- 10 years in consumer marketing [FMCG] or consumer research [agency]
- Held senior leadership position in Insights for minimum of 3 years with tangible results
- Has a deep consumer behavioural understanding and be able to segment consumers into relevant demand and need spaces
- Solid understand of Brand Management and commercialization of break through insights
- FMCG landscape knowledge
- Broader industry knowledge of research designs, companies and practices
- Strong knowledge and proven application of a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to solve business objectives
Qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in Marketing or Psychology preferred
Skills:
- Able to assess what research is required, design this, and find suitable providers, and interpret the research results
- Can comfortably interact and discuss with Global and Regional teams on global and local research outcomes and NPD finding
- Ability to influence and activate research outcomes into strategic commercial results that move the enterprise forward
- A great coach and mentor to stakeholders across the business and region
- Insights and data-driven storyteller, passionate about insights that inspire and drive action
- Proven leadership and strategic skills driving and owning end-to-end short and long-term projects
- Highly organised with ability to manage multiple projects again key deliverables and deadlines
