- Cultivates strong and effective relationships with business stakeholders to drive successful change and transformation, while also being able to lead, coach, and develop a team of Insight Analysts as business needs require
- Cooperatively formulates and drives impactful work objectives to address critical business challenges, ensuring analytical resources are equipped with clear, actionable tasks that deliver the maximum business value
- Partners with the Hub Manager to manage work backlog and allocate workloads, crafting challenging yet achievable schedules for Insight Analysts
- Collaborate with Change Programmes, Data Authority, and Data Governance teams to develop high-quality, informative, and well-modelled data to ensure maximum value to Insights and business analytics.
- Deliver work packages by gathering detailed requirements and building to specifications within the agreed timelines while maintaining strong communication throughout, whilst taking a proactive approach to predicating the data needs of the business.
- Communicate, engage, and collaborate with the Hub stakeholders (up to senior management and external parties) to understand key business questions & initiatives so that appropriate reports and analysis can be created to effectively monitor & understand business performance.
- Act as a sounding board and expert advisor to Hub stakeholders as they tackle day-to-day questions and support them through their use of self-serve.
- Develop repeatable, efficient, automated, self-serve reporting outputs using supported technologies, adhering to agreed best practice and principles ensuring end user experience is slick easy to navigate.
- Present project overviews and reports to stakeholders, providing both business insights, technical reviews and recommendations.
- Follow agreed process and maintain records of work for example: updating Kanban board with latest progress, calling out highlights, emerging risks and challenges.
- Ensures the governance, security and quality of data is adhered to, following team specific and overall business data control & security policies.
- Work as a leader within the Hub by setting the example of best practice, mentor/support more junior team members and take the lead on continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement beyond the Hub by participating in the PXC-wide Analyst Community (to help wider business through operational challenges with ad hoc and cross-functional self-serve analysis).
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of the business’s products, systems, key processes and commercial context.
Must have:
- Good analytical problem-solving solving, influencing, stakeholder management and communication skills (both oral and written to tell clear, actionable stories with data).
- Can do attitude
- Strong SQL skills, PowerBI, Python. Experience with Snowflake, Azure, Databricks advantageous.
- Good understanding of business area and its role in PXC’s success. Intellectually curious, continuously seeking to sharpen knowledge.
- Strong operational delivery track record, comprehensive knowledge of data analysis and reporting, good awareness of data warehousing, physical and logical data modelling, statistical analysis tools.
- Experience partnering up with specific business area and background in TMT / ICT sector advantageous.
