Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.x preferred).
- Perform application patching (AD/TXK patches), CPU/PSU patching, and upgrades.
- Manage application tier and database tier configurations.
- Perform system cloning (PROD to TEST/DEV) using Rapid Clone.
- Manage Concurrent Managers and Workflow Mailers.
- Configure and support Oracle Forms, Reports, and WebLogic components.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Administer Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) in on-prem and OCI environments.
- Manage and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Database Cloud Service (DBCS) environments.
- Support and administer OCI Autonomous Databases (ATP/ADW) including provisioning, scaling, monitoring, patching, and performance tuning.
- Perform database patching, upgrades, backups, and recovery.
- Implement performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Manage RMAN backups and recovery strategies.
- Support Data Guard configurations and disaster recovery planning.
- Monitor OCI database health, storage, and network configurations.
- Coordinate with OCI infrastructure teams for VCN, security lists, load balancers, and IAM configurations.
System Integration & Production Support
- Work closely with Oracle Application DBAs and technical teams.
- Support integrations with third-party systems.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and provide root cause analysis.
- Participate in and support release management activities and on-call rotations
- Participate in a required on-call rotation to provide production support.
- Coordinating daily operational tasks and handoffs with offshore team
- Providing technical guidance and oversight.
- Reviewing deliverables and ensuring adherence to standards.
- Supporting global support coverage models.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience as an Oracle Applications DBA.
- Strong experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.x.
- Experience administering Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c).
- Hands-on experience with:
- ADOP online patching (R12.2)
- WebLogic administration
- Linux/Unix environments
- Shell scripting
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- OCI DBCS and/or Autonomous Database administration
- Experience with cloning, patching, and performance tuning.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
Preferred / Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with OCI Database Cloud Service (DBCS) and Autonomous Databases (ATP/ADW).
- Experience in using Oracle EBS Cloud Manager
- Experience with OBIEE/OAS administration and support.
- Experience supporting Oracle Hyperion / EPM (Planning, HFM, Essbase).
- Knowledge of Oracle Goldengate.
- Oracle certifications (OCP/OCA/OCI Architect).
- Experience supporting high-availability and DR environments.
Skills Required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, including EBS R12.2 environments
- Strong knowledge of Oracle ATP/ADW and Oracle Cloud (OCI) console operations
- Experience with EBS SSO & SSL configurations and troubleshooting
- Good understanding of Oracle Fusion Applications SSO and MFA architecture
- Hands-on experience with WebLogic Server administration
- Experience deploying, maintaining, and optimizing Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters
- Experience supporting and administering Apache Kafka clusters and message streaming workflows
- Strong troubleshooting skills across database, application, and cloud infrastructure layers
- Knowledge of OCI security, identity domains, policies, and MFA setup
- Ability to work independently and lead a team through complex infrastructure challenges
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Oracle certifications in DBA or OCI
- Experience working in Managed Services or consulting environments
- Exposure to automation tools and scripting
- Experience with migration projects to OCI
