SentiLink supports a variety of ways to work, ranging from fully remote to in-office. We operate as a digital-first company with strong collaboration across the U.S. and India. We maintain physical offices in Austin, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Chicago in the U.S., and in Gurugram (Delhi) and Bengaluru in India. If you’re located near one of these offices, we would love for you to spend time in the office regularly. Some roles are hybrid or in-office by design. For example, our engineering team in India works primarily from our Gurugram office.
Role:As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the development of standards, processes, tooling, and systems that serve as the foundation of the SentiLink platform. We’re looking for someone driven towards improving the reliability and efficiency of our systems, services, and engineering teams.
You will work closely with the Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to understand their needs and pain points, and to build systems and tools to improve their velocity, reliability, efficiency, and visibility. The optimal candidate will have a bias towards secure solutions that follow engineering best practice.
Responsibilities:Construct infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform; develop and enforce best practices across configurations while preventing drift between code and deployed infrastructure.
Design and operate infrastructure that enables Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to efficiently perform software development and data processing workloads (including Hadoop-based systems).
Implement monitoring tools, dashboards, and functionalities for a variety of services and operations across SentiLink’s infrastructure and software platform.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning, supporting reliable production operations.
Participate in Level 2 operational support, root cause analysis, and infrastructure improvements following incidents.
Formulate strategies and execute solutions for cloud identity and access management.
Collaborate with SRE and security teams to maintain secure, up-to-date infrastructure in the cloud environment.
Supervise and monitor platform costs, working cross-functionally to maintain cost awareness (cost optimization experience is a plus, not a core requirement).
Oversee, develop, and operate Kubernetes infrastructure, including deployment workflows using tools such as Argo CD and Kargo.
Investigate operational alerts, identify root causes, and produce comprehensive root cause analysis reports; ensure follow-up actions are completed thoroughly.
Conduct in-depth examinations of database operational issues, contributing to improvements in database architecture, configuration, and reliability.
Support and operate Airflow workflows and related infrastructure.
Write and maintain Python automation scripts, along with Bash and shell scripting, to support infrastructure operations.
4+ years of relevant work experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or systems engineering roles.
Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and cloud identity and access management.
Experience developing and operating cloud networking infrastructure, including DNS, load balancers, VPCs, subnets, and security groups.
Experience supporting or migrating production systems with minimal downtime.
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools; deep expertise in configuring alerting platforms (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana) is not required.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
Experience operating Kubernetes and Docker-based environments (hands-on expertise is a plus).
Experience operating enterprise-scale databases; Postgres, Aurora, Redshift, and OpenSearch experience is a plus.
Hands-on Python experience (mandatory) — ability to write simple scripts for automation and operational tasks; Bash/shell scripting experience required.
Exposure to Hadoop ecosystems and collaboration with data science teams is a plus.
Experience supporting Airflow workflows is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
Cost awareness and infrastructure efficiency mindset is a bonus.

What We Do
SentiLink is the leading fraud intelligence company, providing financial institutions and fintechs with purpose-built solutions for identity verification and fraud prevention. Our products detect synthetic fraud, identity theft, and hard-to-detect first-party fraud in real time — helping partners stop losses before they happen while approving more legitimate customers. Founded in 2017 by Naftali Harris and Max Blumenfeld, creators of the risk and fraud systems at Affirm, SentiLink was built on a simple premise: to truly stop fraud, you have to deeply understand it. That belief shapes everything, from the expert human intelligence that feeds our models to the way we work with our partners. We don't call them clients or customers, we call them partners, because that's genuinely how we think of them. Today, SentiLink processes 3M+ identity verifications per day for 500+ financial institutions, including 13 of the top 15 U.S. banks and 50+ fintech unicorns. We've raised $85M from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, and NYCA Partners.
Why Work With Us
At SentiLink, deep understanding isn't just a value, it's a company-wide expectation. For example, our Revenue Accounting Manager can walk you through SSN windows. That's not an exception; that's the norm. You'll collaborate closely, move fast, and do work that genuinely matters.
