Accountabilities:
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be expected to:
- Design & implement, and maintain core IT infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualisation, AI, and cloud platforms).
- Provide insights to optimise infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
- Assist in troubleshooting and incident response for infrastructure-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure solutions for business projects.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture documentation and standards.
- Ensure compliance & alignment of infrastructure with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (eg RMIT / CAF / NIST / ISO27001).
- Implement and manage robust identity, access, and security controls across infrastructure components.
- Automate infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and management processes using scripting and automation tools or IAC.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to integrate security measures into infrastructure.
