About the Role
Ontra is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer reporting to our Senior Manager, Infrastructure Engineering.
For this job we are currently only hiring candidates based in the United States.
This role is a great opportunity for you to leverage your expertise in Infrastructure technologies and methodologies to drive innovation and streamline our software development lifecycle. What You’ll Do
- Containerize: Use Kubernetes and Docker to create, manage, and scale containerized applications
- Monitor: Implement and manage monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog and Prometheus to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure
- Version Control: Manage GitHub and implement branching strategies and code reviews to ensure code quality
- Gather information: Gather and analyze requirements from various stakeholders to define infrastructure and deployment needs.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure and processes to ensure that team members can understand and reproduce the environment as needed
What You’ll Bring
- CI/CD Experience: 6+ years setting up and maintaining tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions
- IaC: 6+ years of experience using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
- Programming: A general background in using programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, and/or Javascript
- Cloud Services: 6+ years of experience provisioning, configuring, and optimizing cloud resources (we use AWS)
- Collaboration: A background in working with cross-functional teams to facilitate an efficient software delivery pipeline and align on projects and goals
Pay Transparency
Ontra takes individual candidate location, experience, and skills into consideration when determining compensation. The base pay range is listed below. Additionally, all positions are eligible for unit-based equity grants.
Some positions may be eligible for additional compensation, such as commission or other variable compensation structures, which is not included in the below base pay range.

Base Pay Range
$175,000—$245,000 USD
