As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide expert-level technical engineering and design for enterprise network security infrastructure. You will be responsible for working complex firewall deployments, handling high-level tier-3 troubleshooting, and driving innovation in advanced cloud firewall capabilities. This role requires an expert understanding of network security principles, deep hands-on technical experience with enterprise firewall technologies, and the ability to solve complex infrastructure challenges. Primary customers and peer groups will be Core Infrastructure Engineering, Corporate Information Security, and Nike Operations Center
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORThe candidate shall have enterprise level Security acumen, experience working on Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls, and managerial experience.
4+ years of experience in a network security engineering role
Experience deploying and managing Palo Alto Networks security solutions
Understanding of network design and operations across full stack technologies
Knowledge of network threat prevention methodologies and protocols
Experience with Network Access Control systems such as Cisco ISE
Hands-on experience with traffic decryption and privacy regulations
Proficiency with network automation tools and scripting languages
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
You will be responsible for leading technical initiatives within a global Firewall Squad, architecting firewall performance, orchestrating complex software upgrades, analyzing capacity for IT networks, playing a primary role in designing automations, and solutions to further Nike’s journey towards Zero-Trust networks.
Lead break/fix operations and act as the highest technical escalation point for critical firewall-related incidents and performance issues.
Design and implement advanced security solutions for complex, systemic infrastructure problems independently and with minimal direction.
Design, build, and deploy enterprise-level automation programs and core systems across major long-term quarterly deliverables.
Drive technical design discussions by defining structural architecture and strategic roadmaps. Collaborate with cross-functional principal engineers to establish new application requirements and resolve complex project dependencies.
Produce complete, production-grade system documentation for new or proposed architectures and drive knowledge sharing across the global organization
