Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis of infrastructure, platform, operational, and service data to identify performance trends, operational risks, capacity constraints, and optimization opportunities across enterprise technology environments.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure health, reliability, availability, performance, and capacity KPIs, delivering actionable insights that improve resiliency and operational excellence.
  • Partner with Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, Architecture, Operations, SRE, and Technology Leadership teams to drive data-informed decisions that enhance service stability and technology outcomes.
  • Provide analytical support for infrastructure design and modernization initiatives, evaluating scalability, resiliency, utilization, performance, and cost impacts of architectural decisions.
  • Design and implement anomaly detection, trend analysis, and root cause investigation methodologies to identify service degradation, infrastructure performance issues, operational inefficiencies, and systemic risks.
  • Build and maintain scalable analytics solutions using SQL, Python, Alteryx, APIs, and Power BI, enabling repeatable data acquisition, transformation, reporting, and operational intelligence capabilities.
  • Analyze telemetry, monitoring, observability, event, and operational datasets to improve visibility into infrastructure health, service reliability, capacity utilization, and technology consumption.
  • Ensure analytics solutions align with SDLC, governance, security, audit, and release management standards, utilizing GitHub, Azure DevOps, source control, testing, and deployment best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Five to six years of relevant experience

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Infrastructure Analytics, Operational Intelligence, Reliability Analytics, Capacity Planning, and Performance Analysis within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL for complex data analysis, reporting, data modeling, and analytical solution development.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing Python for data analytics, automation, anomaly detection, and large-scale data transformation.
  • Experience developing workflows and process automation using Alteryx, including data validation, reconciliation, and quality management.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, data integration, ETL processes, and enterprise data platforms, with the ability to consolidate data from multiple technology sources.
  • Deep understanding of cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, monitoring, CMDB, and service management platforms.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic, or similar platforms, with a focus on service reliability and operational visibility.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable business recommendations.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
