In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in computer security incident response activities for moderately complex events
- Conduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies
- Provide security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
- Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
- Review and correlate security logs
- Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
- Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability operations, vulnerability response, and vulnerability management platforms.
- 3+ years of experience managing application vulnerability platforms such as ThreadFix and ServiceNow AVR.
- Proven experience supporting end users and customers in large, complex enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of application security tools, systems, and vulnerability scanning technologies.
- Solid understanding of Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Application security experience within banking or financial services environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable, long-term solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
- Proficiency in metrics development, data analysis, and security reporting.
- Scripting or coding experience using Python and/or JavaScript.Job Expectations:
- Provide operational support for Application Security Vulnerability Response, vulnerability operations, and vulnerability management platforms within defined SLAs.
- Administer, manage, and support application vulnerability platforms (e.g., ThreadFix, ServiceNow Application Vulnerability Response).
- Partner with development, DevSecOps, ASC and security teams to analyze vulnerabilities, recommend remediation strategies, and drive risk reduction.
- Support and guide end users across complex organizational structures, ensuring timely resolution of platform and process issues.
- Contribute to the ongoing execution and evolution of the Secure SDLC program, staying current with changes and enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with India-based support teams and U.S.-based leads to gather requirements, provide platform support, and resolve escalations.
- Apply industry best practices and emerging trends in application security to continuously improve vulnerability management processes.
- Develop and maintain vulnerability metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting.
- Manage complex security issues, negotiate practical solutions with stakeholders, and drive issues to closure.
