Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of our Product which will help you communicate highly complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
- Understand technical concepts and use cases to cover them in depth in the documentation
- Be hands-on in terms of trying out the APIs and webhooks using various tools to have a first-hand understanding of the platform and its concepts
- Produce high-quality technical documentation for Integration guides, Admin Guides and User Guides for our large Enterprise customers Contribute to setting up processes around drafting, publishing, change management and KPI management for various documentation artefacts
- Research various Saas documentations and arrive at a model and Information Architecture for various types of artefacts
- Contribute to hiring and team building
- Assist the Customer Support function in building their knowledge base
- Build feedback loops for gathering feedback on the quality and usefulness of the artefacts produced
Skills
- Engineer (B.E/ B.Tech) or MCA
- Language proficiency - English Honors/MA English level
- Medium-to-Expert proficiency in common CMS, authoring, and graphics tools such as, Adobe Suite, MS Suite, Google Docs Suite, Visio, Lucidcharts, Confluence, and so on
- Experience working with open-source languages and tools such as Git (Github/Bitbucket), Markdown, reStructuredText, Hugo (other static site generators)
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams with multiple stakeholders, across different time zones
- Proficient in HTML
- Familiar with CSS
- Familiar with POSTMAN, SWAGGER, or similar API documentation generators
Experience & Qualifications
- Engineer (preferably IT . Comp Sci)
- An overall experience of 8+ Years
- Experience of 5+ years in hands-on Technical Content Writing for Enterprise Products
- Prior experience in building apps and platforms is a huge plus
- Adept at using standard authoring, publishing, and graphic tools
- Experience with open-source authoring and source code management using Markdown, restructured Text, Hugo, Git, and similar tools
- Logically strong first principles thinker
- Process-oriented
- Well-versed with technical concepts around APIs, Events, Webhooks, Entity models etc
- Familiarity with technical tools for API testing, webhooks testing etc
- Hands-on with tooling and research
- Data-oriented
- Bias for action
- Excellent copywriting skills
