Job Description
Teledyne Brown Engineering is seeking a qualified Senior Industrial Security Representative to join its Huntsville, AL team. This position will provide program, physical, and personnel security support for multiple onsite programs in a classified environment. The successful candidate will work closely with program personnel, security professionals, and leadership to ensure compliance with applicable government and customer security requirements. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to learn and apply security processes in a dynamic operational environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer security procedures in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 and DoDM 5205.07 for operations in classified environments, including personnel security processing, classified material control, security education, visitor control, classified material destruction, and physical security support.
- Conduct required security briefings, including initial security briefings and annual refresher training.
- Prepare, communicate, and distribute security requirements, guidance, and procedures to employees.
- Maintain and manage program security requirements, including applicable customer compliance obligations.
- Safeguard classified material in accordance with approved procedures for storage, transmission, reproduction, destruction, and accountability, including annual inventories and disclosure records.
- Conduct or support internal reviews and government inspections, as assigned.
- Respond to after-hours intrusion detection system alerts during weekdays and weekends, as required.
- Maintain program security documentation and systems, including updating standard operating procedures and managing security information in SIMS and other applicable security databases or sites as needed.
- Monitor security operations and provide status reports, recommendations, and updates as needed.
- Assist in the development and delivery of security education and training programs for staff.
- Prepare classified materials for external transmission through authorized shipping services or approved hand-carry procedures.
- Assist with security incident and violation investigations, including administrative inquiries.
- Serve as a backup Information System Security Officer (ISSO) by supporting audits and updating required documentation, as needed.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities
Experience with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) or government policies related to international activities and information protection.
Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)
Security-related work experience supporting classified Department of Defense programs.
Other Qualifications
US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.
Two to five years of national security experience preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to integrate effectively with customer security teams and independently perform program security duties with minimal supervision
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft products.
