About The Opportunity
About The Role
Menasha Corporation, a leader in the packaging industry, is searching for a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst in our Neenah, WI location.
Essential to this Position
We are seeking an individual to join our indirect tax team that has a desire to participate in all aspects of indirect tax. This role is responsible for assisting in compliance, refund claims, tax audits, research and various other projects as requested.
Areas Responsibilities
Serve as knowledgeable resource for internal sales and use tax inquires and provide guidance based on current state and local regulations
Receive and manage tax notices from state and local authorities.
Oversee the issuance of tax exemption and resale certificates to vendors
Partner with billing and customer service teams on new customer setup and work with customers directly on invoice and sales order issues
Assist Manager with sales/use tax audits including gathering data and communicating with tax authorities
Research various technical topics and participate in special projects as necessary
Assist in various indirect tax projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 3+ years of indirect tax experience
Experience with SAP and/or Vertex beneficial
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner
Strong analytical mind and problem-solving skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills and business professionalism
