Position Overview:
Seeking a Senior Income Tax Accountant. This position will report to the Director of Tax and Treasury. The ideal candidate will have income tax experience and preferably public accounting experience. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the preparation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision, preparation of federal, state and international tax returns, including quarterly estimates. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for maintaining business licenses, annual reports, and other required entity filings. There will also be opportunities to support buy-side tax diligence and integration of acquired businesses into existing tax function.
What You'll Do
- Prepare annual income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 for financial statement purposes.
- Prepare quarterly income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 for internal reporting purposes.
- Ensure accurate and timely review and filing of federal, state, and international income tax returns.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation, filing, and administration of business licenses and annual reports.
- Involvement in integration of acquired businesses across all tax types.
- Manage state notices and correspondence with federal and state taxing authorities.
- Assist with federal and state tax audits, as needed.
- Perform tax research and stay informed of latest tax law changes and industry trends.
- Communicate and problem-solve tax-related items with other departments and members of the business.
- Coordinate and work with outside service providers, as needed.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
- Ability to use computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.).
- Ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with tax provision and/or compliance software (specifically Corp Tax) a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Income Tax, minimum of 2-3 years in either public accounting or industry.
- CPA or plan to pursue CPA.
