Job Description:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, International Studies or similar field of study required
Work Experiences:
- 3+ years of international transportation and logistics, working with freight forwarders, carriers and domestic transportation partners
- Warehouse or distribution applications systems experience preferred
- Working with overseas partners and basic understanding of origin operations preferred
- Financial acumen is a plus
- Sporting goods and/or retail experience preferred

- Strong Microsoft Office suite experience including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Strong emphasis on Excel used for tracking and analysis via pivot tables, formulas, vlookups etc.
Responsibilities:
- Act as key liaison with freight forwarders, ocean carriers, trucking companies or DC receiving, and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
- Manage routing or documentation changes directly with carriers and freight forwarders to expedite cargo.
- Define and oversee standard import logistics processes for data extraction, reporting techniques and reconciliation such as ocean carrier forecasting, carrier allocation usage reporting, MQC usage reporting.
- Drive selection process for service providers based on analytics during ocean contract season.
- Review monthly and annual freight spend and present findings and recommended opportunities to senior leadership.
- Authorize freight per diem/demurrage payments on charges less than $20,000.
- Review ACH freight payments to all carriers and approve discrepancies prior to Executive approvals.
- Manage ground, air and sea transit and routing guidelines and communicate discrepancies against quoted by carriers.
- Utilize metrics for critical events requested measure ship date and published lead time and on-time shipping/on-time delivery performance.
- Ensure SOPs are updated and maintained and manage change processes to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Measure, report, and improve carrier performance metrics, preparing and presenting data for quarterly business reviews.
- Work with Merchant and Sourcing teams on hot item or ad item prioritization and provide regular updates and discrepancy reports.
- Audit data integrity on information reported by carriers and freight forwarders and address issues directly with EDI specialists.
- Maintain functional expertise in the international freight movement and customs broker practices.
- Ensure ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and import truckers meet the requirements for the following Customs Border Patrol (CBP) programs: Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) security requirements and Importer Self-Assessment (ISA).
- Develop a thorough understanding of and follow Academy work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior.
