Position Overview
We are looking for a professional with Product Data Management (PDM) and/or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) experience, supporting a broad range of technologies in large-scale enterprise environments.
As an Implementation Consultant, you will work directly with customers to understand their engineering and business needs within the Manufacturing industry. Based on those requirements, you will define and implement solutions using Autodesk's PDM/PLM portfolio, helping customers modernize engineering processes, improve collaboration, and accelerate digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Consulting & Solution Delivery
Work with customers and internal teams throughout all phases of PDM/PLM projects, including:
Business development
Discovery and analysis
Solution design
Implementation
Lead implementation consulting engagements with customers.
Build trusted, problem-solving partnerships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Guide customers on best practices for implementing Autodesk PDM/PLM solutions
Solution Design & Implementation
Design implementation strategies aligned with customer business objectives using Autodesk's PDM/PLM portfolio.
Configure solutions and workflows based on customer requirements and product capabilities.
Execute implementation activities including:
System configuration
Scripting
Deployment and rollout
Testing
Validation
Define migration strategies for customer data, standards, and existing systems into Autodesk solutions
Manufacturing & Industry Expertise
Deliver solutions for global Automotive and Manufacturing customers using Autodesk Product Design & Manufacturing technologies
Apply Autodesk product capabilities to industry-specific engineering workflows.
Define, document, and optimize customer use cases and business processes
Plan and implement new technologies, workflows, and engineering processes
Customer Success & Enablement
Provide coaching, mentoring, and change management support to customers
Enable partners to successfully deliver packaged service offerings
Drive customer adoption and long-term solution success.
Recommend innovative approaches to solve industry challenges using Autodesk technologies
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with customers, partners, consulting teams, and product engineering to resolve technical issues
Provide product and process improvement feedback based on customer experiences
Support sales engagements by contributing to proposals and identifying additional consulting opportunities
Contribute effort estimates, task descriptions, and scope clarification for Statements of Work (SOWs)
Produce high-quality implementation documentation
Willingness to travel up to 50%, as required.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in Product Design and Manufacturing.
Extensive experience analyzing engineering workflows, business processes, and information/document management systems.
Strong understanding of Product Data Management (PDM) and Product
Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts, workflows, and industry best practices
Experience migrating:
PDM/PLM systems to newer versions
Projects between different PDM/PLM platforms
Experience with:
- Autodesk Vault
Vault Enterprise Add-on (VAO)
Autodesk Fusion 360 Manage
FlexSim
Autodesk Inventor and competing CAD solutions
SQL administration
Scripting and automation
Communication & Consulting Skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
Ability to translate customer business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder management skills
Ability to mentor customers and partners while driving technology adoption
