Senior Illustrator & Interaction designer

Yassir is the leading super App in the Maghreb region set to changing the way daily services are provided. It currently operates in 45 cities across Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia with recent expansions into France, Canada and Sub-Saharan Africa. We're seeking a talented Illustrator & Interaction Designer to join our design team and play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and user experience of our SuperApp. You will collaborate closely with our cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and UX designers, to create stunning visuals and design interactions that captivate and engage our users.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop visually compelling illustrations, icons, and graphics that align with our brand identity and enhance the user interface.
• Design user interactions and workflows that ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience across different features of the SuperApp.
• Collaborate with UX designers and front-end developers to ensure your designs are implemented accurately and effectively.
• Support the design team, both with your work and mentoring on best interaction design practices.
• Stay updated with design trends, user preferences, and emerging technologies to continually enhance the SuperApp's design aesthetic and functionality.
• Gather feedback on iterations to support design decisions and direction.
• Maintain a consistent and cohesive design language throughout the SuperApp.
• Participate in shaping the design culture at Yassir.
• Participate in and improve our internal design processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Illustration, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Illustrator & Interaction Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including illustrations and interactive designs.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and a keen awareness of usability and accessibility considerations.
• Good communication skills and the ability to present and explain design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.
• A good eye for detail and a collaborative mindset.
