How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Interact with stakeholders at all levels of the group as an expert and consult stakeholders on international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and international accounting standards (IAS) requirements and high-level accounting schemas

  • Contribute to the interim and annual financial statements preparation process ensuring compliance with the reporting requirements as well as optimizing the disclosures

  • Monitor regulatory requirements related to accounting and IFRS with the aim of determining the potential impact on financial statements

  • Advice on implementation of relevant changes into daily accounting and regulatory reporting processes due to revised IAS and IFRS requirements

  • Prepare high level accounting schemas for new, revised or changed banking products based on the IFRS / IAS requirements and specifics of banking chart of accounts as part of Product Accounting Change (PAC) process Investigate and identify deficiencies in the control environment, propose the solutions and ensure that the appropriate actions are taken by the stakeholders

  • Develop internal regulations and documentation for relevant group accounting processes

  • Participate and coordinate different accounting and process improvement related projects

  • Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders on provision of the financial information upon specific requests related to statutory audit of Luminor Group and other engagements

What Makes You a Great Fit:
  • Minimum BSc degree in finance, accounting, economics, banking, or business administration

  • Knowledge of and experience with:

    • banking products (strong advantage)

    • IFRS (must have)

    • FINREP (strong advantage)

    • annual and interim statutory reporting preparation (strong advantage)

    • preparation of accounting schemas for banking products based on the IFRS

    • requirements and specific banking charts of accounts (strong advantage)

    • cross-border consolidation (strong advantage)

  • Knowledge of and experience with data analytics tools:

    • Advanced MS Excel skills (must have)

    • SQL is considered as advantage

    • Power BI knowledge is considered a strong advantage, but willingness to learn Power BI is a must

    • Interest in and knowledge of AI are welcome

  • Experience in optimizing the control environment

  • Personal Competencies:

    • Ability to adapt and respond to changing work situations

    • Ability to collaborate efficiently with others and contribute to a positive team environment

    • Relevant qualifications or studies towards ACCA, CFA, or similar are considered an advantage

    • Can-do attitude and strong attention to detail

  • Fluent professional English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on Pan-Baltic level. Knowledge of a local Baltic language is strong advantage.
