POSITION SUMMARY
- Lead and drive Lean and Industrial Engineering initiatives across partner manufacturing facilities to deliver operational excellence.
- Design and implement structured approaches to improve production efficiency, eliminate waste, standardize processes, and optimize lead times and cost performance.
- Work closely with internal teams and external manufacturing partners to embed continuous improvement practices and elevate operational capabilities across the network.
- Act as a strategic leader, aligning manufacturing improvement initiatives with overall business objectives while strengthening Lean culture and capability across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and lead a structured roadmap for Lean and Industrial Engineering programs aligned with sourcing and operational strategies.
- Oversee the execution of Lean and IE initiatives across partner factories, ensuring alignment with business priorities and operational goals.
- Define project timelines, priorities, and resource allocation to ensure timely and effective delivery of initiatives.
- Lead complex improvement projects, including factory layout optimization and implementation of new operational practices.
- Monitor budgets, performance targets, and project outcomes while providing technical guidance to teams and partners.
- Actively participate in key initiatives to provide subject matter expertise and ensure successful implementation.
Lean Program Implementation
- Continuously enhance and expand Lean initiatives to drive efficiency and operational consistency across manufacturing partners.
- Design and refine evaluation frameworks to accurately assess operational performance and improvement progress.
- Conduct detailed assessments of end-to-end production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization.
- Provide practical recommendations and solutions to eliminate waste and improve operational flow.
- Deliver training, coaching, and capability-building programs to support adoption of Lean practices.
- Conduct regular on-site visits to monitor progress, perform audits, and support continuous improvement activities.
- Identify and develop internal and partner talent to strengthen long-term operational capabilities.
- Facilitate workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and cross-site collaboration to promote best practices and alignment.
Industrial Engineering & Process Optimization
- Develop and standardize Industrial Engineering frameworks and guidelines to support consistent time studies and process improvements.
- Establish best practices to optimize production cycles and address process bottlenecks.
- Implement systems to capture and analyze operational performance data for continuous improvement.
- Define standard process times across product categories to support planning, cost control, and performance benchmarking.
- Build and maintain standardized process benchmarks across manufacturing sites to improve consistency and reliability.
Team Training & Development
- Deliver structured training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen Lean culture within the organization.
- Coach and mentor internal teams on Lean and Industrial Engineering methodologies.
- Support team members in applying improvement tools to analyze and resolve operational challenges.
- Enhance team capabilities in project management and structured problem-solving.
- Stay updated on industry developments and continuously improve internal practices in alignment with market trends and strategic direction.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in process improvement or quality management are highly preferred.
- Additional certifications in training or project management are advantageous.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or Lean within manufacturing environments.
- At least 8 years of experience in a leadership role managing Lean or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience leading large-scale operational improvement programs.
- Experience managing teams and working across regions and cultures.
- Willingness to travel frequently to manufacturing sites.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Deep understanding of process optimization and operational efficiency improvement.
- Experience in leading complex transformation initiatives across manufacturing environments.
- Strong project and change management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using tools that support planning, collaboration, and process mapping.
- Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
