This position reports to:
Automation Engineering Manager__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure that the activities related to engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
Leading the ICSS engineering scope across all project phases – FEED, basic engineering, detailed engineering including hardware and software, FAT, pre-commissioning, commissioning and SAT at yards and offshore sites.
Acting as subject matter expert for all automation systems including – DCS, ESD, F&G and co-ordinate with teams both in-house and at the execution center in the region.
Interfacing with vendors, EPC contractors, client, and internal stakeholders to ensure system integration and functional compliance in line with project requirements.
Collaborating with the Project Manager to ensure on-time delivery, adherence to project schedule and budget, and fulfilment of contractual obligations
Qualifications for the role
Around 10 years of hands on experience handling automation projects within the oil & gas, power industries or offshore
Experience in handling large size ICSS systems with 25,000+ I/O points or more.
Proven experience with any of the major ICSS platforms including architecture design, configuration, and integration for offshore projects.
Experience with ABB 800xA system will be an added advantage.
A good collaborator and enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment.
Self-motivated individual with strong English communication skills, eager to build lasting relationships with customers and global stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with a major in Electrical, Electronics or another relevant discipline.
