ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Senior IAM Engineer will be responsible for operating, managing, and architecting the internal systems responsible for controlling Apex’s internal Identity, Authentication and Access Management functions. They will be expected to apply their knowledge and expertise to lead day-to-day operation of Apex’s SSO, IAM, and IGA systems, and drive continuous improvement and innovation in how these tools are used and deployed. By driving innovation and improvement in this space the employee will support frictionless internal operations and faster time-to-market for essential run-the-business tools while maintaining rigorous security and compliance standards essential for our firm.
Duties/Responsibilities
Lead and and train junior staff members in best-practice implementation of Okta Single-Sign-On integrations
Enhance operational standards for management of internal access controls, and drive the implementation of a policy-based access management framework
Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure that new software tools and solutions are implemented with proper SSO and IAM integration
Develop and lead the implementation of best practices and implementation standards for IGA, IAM and SSO technologies
Maintain high-quality documentation and operational runbooks to provide up-to-date guidance and instruction to technologists and end-users
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience) required
5+ years of proven experience designing and implementing leading Identity and Access Management solutions, IGA policy controls, and SSO implementations
Okta Certified Administrator or equivalent certification
Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of Okta’s IAM and SSO controls, authorization models for enterprise SaaS applications (SAML, OIDC, etc) and user provisioning models (SCIM, etc)
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to localize failures within distributed systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and accessible technical documentation, procedures, and runbooks
Demonstrated experience working with IGA and IAM software systems to implement streamlined and robust policy-based access management
Work Environment
This job operates in a hybrid, office environment.
