Primary Responsibilities:
  • Leverage industry standard tools to support the infrastructure growth, health, availability and resource utilization in addition to discrete application components on Windows Server and Unix servers hosted in VMware and AWS virtualization.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our SaaS server infrastructure
  • Monitor reliability of the web server farm infrastructure and anticipate problems before they occur.
  • Maintain high system availability by proactive issue resolution.
  • Demonstrable understanding of key networking and Infra technologies, and ability to include this understanding in troubleshooting, Change and problem management.
  • Monitor and manage the Web Server farm utilization and performance
  • Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
  • Document and maintain installation, operational and configuration procedures.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary
  • Communicate and coordinate server maintenance schedule and downtime to users
  • Help architect and implement infrastructure
  • Maintain healthy and smooth communication between the onsite and the offsite teams to ensure SLA adherence
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 4+ years of experience in managing enterprise systems
  • Operating System experience on both Windows and Linux Server Environment.
  • Experience with enterprise storage systems such as SAN, NAS, iSCSI, RAID levels, LUN Management
  • Experience in a virtualization platform, preferably VMWare
  • Experience in working in Change controlled environment
  • Knowledge in Ticketing Systems with Incident, Change & problem Management. Automate the repetitive tasks using Chef, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, etc.
  • Knowing your audience (peer organizations, other staff, management, etc.), be able to communicate exceptionally well - in both oral and written forms.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with the onsite team
  • Proven ability to work scheduled shift rotations (rotation will include weekends and holidays)
