We are hiring Senior Fullstack Product Engineers (React, Typescript, Node, GraphQL & MongoDB) to build emerging products and to contribute to efforts to build features used across our Product Platform; applications through this link put you into consideration for the following teams:

  • Expansion: This team focuses on the full post-activation lifecycle—driving retention, expansion, and revenue automation across the product. You’ll build the core systems that power Vanta’s purchasing, trial, and renewal experiences for existing clients. This includes creating seamless checkout flows, self-serve upgrade paths, and intuitive renewal pages, as well as integrating with our evolving billing infrastructure. You’ll also develop the platform that enables “try before you buy” experiences across Vanta, giving prospects hands-on access and empowering other product teams to plug into a unified trials framework.

  • Activation: Responsible for rethinking the downmarket audit experience in the AI era . We leverage applied AI to automate and personalize the customer journey — reducing the time and effort it takes for customers to reach their compliance goals. Rather than optimizing for engagement alone, we focus on driving real outcomes: getting customers audit-ready, faster. Our work spans the full stack, requires deep leveraging of AI, and cuts across team and product boundaries. We're looking for engineers who are comfortable operating in a cross-functional, high-ownership environment and can drive impact beyond their immediate scope

What you’ll do as a Senior Software Engineer at Vanta:

  • Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to accelerate our roadmap and land impact faster.

  • Collaborate with other teams and engineers across Vanta on cross-cutting engineering initiatives or on building common product primitives.

  • Mentor engineers up to your own level; assigning them tasks and helping them develop their skills over the course of each project.

  • Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.

How to be successful in this role:

  • 5+ years of full stack experience with an emphasis on backend skills.

  • Experience leading small teams of engineers to deliver impactful projects.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience building user-facing SaaS products over multiple years, ideally both for startups and enterprise users.

  • Experience building 0→1 products as well as solving tough engineering problems- especially in environments that prioritize bias for action.

  • Experience with TypeScript is a plus- our stack is React, TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL & MongoDB.

  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
