Job Description:
What You'll Do
- Responsible for understanding core HR business processes and supporting and maintaining core HR systems that deliver those processes.
- Serves as a functional/technical support point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing process and data flows for process improvement opportunities. Support subject matter experts to identify domains while driving some decentralized projects, supporting system upgrades, testing and other data management and integration activities as assigned.
- Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
How You'll Do It
- The Senior HR Tech Analyst will play a vital role in supporting Discover's Recruiting & Onboarding business processes by leveraging their expertise in Workday and related HR technologies.
- Provides day-to-day operations support for systems including, researching and resolving systems issues, unexpected results, or process flaws, performing scheduled activities, and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet business requirements
- Partners with configuration partner, BT and third party consultants as need be, in developing and deploying of configuration changes and/or data interfaces/systems integration. Documents requirements and testing according to set documentation.
- Assists in the review, testing, and implementation of system upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrades or system fixes. Maintains system core setup values. Documents processes and results. Design and develop and/or edit user procedures, guidelines and documentation to support change management.
- Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established practice that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, training, and use of collaborative tools at work, cloud communities, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HR Technology application/tools knowledge.
Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources or related
- 4+ years in Human Capital Management Systems
- In lieu of education, 6+ years in Human Capital Management Systems

Bonus Points If You Have
- Human Capital Management Systems Certification
- Workday partner or Pro Certification strongly desired
- Must be able to communicate - both verbal and written - for direct consultation with customers at all levels in the organization to define requirements, design solutions, test and implement to meet the business need.
- EIBs and Calculated fields experience preferred
- Experience using Agile scrum methodology
- Experience using Service Now and or Jira application
- 1+ years with configuration knowledge of 1 or more Workday modules including: Recruiting, Time & Attendance, Security, Performance & Talent Management, HCM, Advance Comp, and Payroll.
- 2+ years with advanced excel experience

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $65,000.00 to $109,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
