Summary 

Reporting to the Global Director of Human Resources and working in close collaboration with the executive and local management team, the Senior HR Manager (India) provides day‑to‑day HR support to managers and operational teams across PAI-AIM Solder. The role focuses on executing and developing HR programs, identifying and resolving workforce needs, and supporting a productive, engaged work environment and culture. It involves hands‑on work in talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, workforce planning, and employee relations within a fast‑paced industrial setting. The Senior HR Manager maintains a strong understanding of the business and its priorities to deliver practical, effective HR solutions that meet operational needs and drive consistent, reliable deliverables.

Responsabilities:

Workforce Support

  • Partner closely with business leaders to understand operational needs, workforce challenges, and talent requirements.
  • Provide practical HR guidance to support decision-making to optimize organizational performance.
  • Support leaders in the management of their teams by providing coaching in performance management, conflict resolution, and employee development.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Working closely with the Global Manager, Talent Acquisition to support and establish hiring initiatives.
  • Manage recruitment activities to fill manufacturing, technical, and corporate roles.
  • Oversee the full onboarding cycle for new hires (administrative setup, systems access, documentation, safety orientation).
  • Partner with managers to create tailored integration plans for both frontline and professional roles
  • Ensure or support new employee integration while providing clarity around role functions, training plans and performance expectations

Development & Training

  • Support employee development initiatives, training programs, and provide employee and leadership coaching.
  • Assist managers in identifying skill gaps and training needs.
  • Collaborate with managers to design personalized development plans.
  • Support cross-training programs and succession planning initiatives.
  • Identify external training partners or providers.
  • Support talent development programs for high potential employees.
  • Track training effectiveness and propose continuous improvements.
  • Develop and deliver training for managers on HR fundamentals, leadership, and employee relations.

Performance Management & Compensation

  • Manage annual and midyear performance evaluation cycles, ensuring alignment of individual and team objectives.
  • Support managers in identifying skill gaps, corrective actions, and development plans.
  • Manage compensation reviews, internal equity analyses, and recognition programs.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Manage employee relations cases, including conflict management, complaints, investigations, and disciplinary actions with discretion and rigor.
  • Ensure compliance with internal HR policies, occupational health and safety standards, and all applicable employment laws in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Advise managers on HR risks and propose solutions consistent with company policies and local legislation.

Organizational Support & Change Management

  • Support organizational transformation projects, restructuring efforts, and cultural initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, tools, and programs across AIM Alloys.
  • Reinforce company culture, values, and change readiness.

HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, overtime, recruitment cycles, etc.) and provide insights to drive decision-making.
  • Prepare HR dashboards and performance metrics for leadership review.
  • Recommend action plans based on trends, risks, and operational needs.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain a regular on-site presence to build relationships with frontline employees and managers.
  • Coordinate offboarding processes, including exit interviews, knowledge transfer, and feedback analysis, to improve retention and employee experience.
  • Support succession‑related activities and help identify employees with growth potential.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with Health & Safety teams to support prevention programs, investigations, and return-to-work processes.
  • Support employee relations strategies.
  • Support change management initiatives, restructuring, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Help maintain a consistent and positive employee experience

Qualifications

  • University degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field
  • Professional HR certification is an asset.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, including experience in an HR Business Partner or equivalent advisory role, with recent management experience
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Experience in working with an international company is a must.
  • Ability to travel internationally on an occasional basis.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws, with the ability to apply them in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to influence, advise and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong skills in time management, problem solving, and a strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with HR tools and HRIS systems (BambooHR knowledge is an asset)
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change in a complex organizational structure
