The Job:  

STANLEY Engineered Fastening (SEF) is looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist to support the manufacturing operations onsite in Lakewood, OH. The main objectives of this high-impact role are focused on supporting the key HR strategies to attract, engage, develop, reward, and retain a diverse, highly qualified, and culturally aligned employee base. You’ll get to:

  • Provide a full range of day-to-day HR support to the local team including employee/labor relations, performance management, organizational development, benefits, compensation, training & development and staffing.
  • Identified opportunities for continuous improvement in internal processes and make constructive suggestions for change. Develop appropriate plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment.
  • Implement and monitor adherence to all organization-specific Human Resource related policies, procedures, and practices, act as a liaison to staff regarding policies.
  • Drive employee engagement through effective communication, employee events and activities.
  • Work collaboratively with employees, supervisors, and managers to resolve employee relations issues and maintain an open-door policy.
  • Works cohesively with all functional organizations (at all levels) to deliver expected results consistently.
  • Promote strong relationships between the Company and the Community to develop good corporate citizenship.
  • Provide ongoing support for departmental reporting needs, including data analysis and recommendations.
  • Partner with union leaders to establish solid working relationships and create a high-performance work team.
  • Provide guidance and mediation to employees and managers in the resolution of work-related issues and inquiries.
  • Partner with SR HR Manager on a variety of tactical and project work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in Business or Human Resources) or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience; manufacturing & union experience required
  • Results driven with an emphasis on keeping customer and business commitments
  • Ability to demonstrate the highest level of personal ethical conduct
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Capable of influencing plant/business leaders to drive HR initiatives
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships vertically and horizontally within an organization
  • Must possess strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Results oriented mindset with ability to prioritize and complete projects
  • Professional, self-motivated individual with the desire to succeed and motivate others
  • Ability to manage confidentiality at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Workday is preferred not required
