Role Summary
The Senior HR Specialist will be responsible for driving and executing core HR functions in PalmPay Burkina Faso, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR operations. This role requires a hands-on HR professional who can balance operational excellence with strategic HR support, ensuring alignment with business objectives and local regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Partner with business leaders to understand hiring needs and workforce plans
  • Drive end-to-end recruitment for all roles within the Burkina Faso office
  • Implement effective sourcing strategies and ensure timely hiring delivery
  • Support employer branding and talent pipeline development
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Act as the primary HR point of contact for employees
  • Manage employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive work culture
  • Support onboarding and integration of new hires
3. Performance Management & Capability Development
  • Implement and manage performance management processes (KPIs, appraisals)
  • Support managers in goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback processes
  • Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement in team capability and productivity
4. HR Operations & Administration
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations including employee records, documentation, and HR systems
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee data management
  • Support payroll coordination and benefits administration
5. Compliance & Policy Implementation
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and statutory requirements in Burkina Faso
  • Implement and enforce company HR policies and procedures
  • Support audits and maintain proper HR documentation
  • Liaise with external bodies (e.g., regulatory agencies, consultants) where required
6. Stakeholder Management & HR Business Partnering
  • Collaborate with department heads to align HR initiatives with business needs
  • Provide HR insights and advisory support to leadership
  • Contribute to organizational development and change management initiatives
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in fintech, banking, or a fast-paced environment
  • Strong experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations
  • Good knowledge of Burkina Faso labor laws and HR best practices
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and HR systems
