The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD, known as "The HARRIS CENTER," is seeking an experienced Human Resources Senior Onboarding Coordinator to join our team. The Senior Onboarding Coordinator serves as the liaison between new employees and the Agency. This position is responsible for ensuring a positive onboarding outcome for new hires, serving as an ambassador of the new employee experience.
Your role in Action:
- Serve as an ambassador of the new hire employee onboarding experience.
- Act as the main liaison for new employees, post-offer through their start date.
- Prepare and deliver preliminary electronic onboarding documents.
- Perform a DPS check to confirm the new hire meets minimum requirements with respect to criminal history.
- Initiate PreCheck background check and follow through to completion.
- Ensure background check meets the standards for employment with the Agency.
- Initiate the pre-employment drug screening process and TB testing, as needed, through completion.
- Coordinate and track sign-on bonus agreements for payroll.
- Schedule new hires for New Employee Orientation.
- Audit files for accuracy and completion and follow up with applicants, as necessary.
- Ensure credentialing compliance.
- Assist with administration of HRIS system, including completion of Employee Action Summary (EAS) forms and uploading pertinent employee documentation.
- Support the overall onboarding strategy in collaboration with the talent acquisition partners and HR business partners, HRIS data entry, changes, updates.
- Collaborate with budget managers on PAS requests, Kronos entries for changes in salary, positions, location and managers.
- Enter new hire information into Payroll system.
- Enters new hire stipends in the payroll system.
- Upload new hire information to the child support portal twice per month.
- Research and solve any issues with hourly rates or stipends and determine if retro pay is due. Make corrections in payroll and verify Payroll Instruction Form PIF) is done to support all changes; submit a copy to payroll for their records and scanned a copy to the employee file.
- Maintain updated records of all fixed assets in Human Resources; order equipment from IT when needed.
- Perform other related duties as directed.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
- High School Diploma or General Education diploma
Experience:
- Minimum of four years of experience in Human Resources with emphasis on onboarding. Healthcare experience preferred
