About the Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Senior HR Manager to lead HR operations in our Malta office. This is a critical role for a hands-on, solutions-focused professional who thrives in high-growth environments.
 
As the go-to HR lead on-site, you’ll handle core HR functions, compliance, and employee experience playing a key role in shaping how we scale people practices across Europe.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing accurately and compliantly in coordination with external providers
  • Coordinate work permit applications, visa renewals, and right-to-work documentation
  • Conduct new hire onboarding and induction programs, ensuring smooth cultural and systems integration
  • Draft, maintain, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance and operational clarity
  • Provide first-line support on employee relations matters including grievances and performance concerns
  • Assist with pay transparency reporting, internal audits, and equitable compensation practices
  • Lead the implementation and testing of new systems, including AI tools, while maintaining employee data platforms and staying current with emerging technology.
What We Look For In You
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist or operations-focused role
  • Proven track record of payroll management, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Working knowledge of Maltese employment law and HR compliance
  • Excellent communication and discretion , you handle sensitive matters with maturity and professionalism
  • Organized, process-driven, and able to operate autonomously
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Maltese is a plus
  • Experience with HRIS tools (e.g., BambooHR) and payroll platforms (e.g., Shireburn, ADP) and ability to learn new systems
Nice to Haves
  • Exposure to employee relations casework or partnering with HRBPs
  • Experience in high-growth, regulated environments (e.g., fintech, crypto, or financial services)
  • Familiarity with pay transparency legislation and compensation frameworks
