We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior HR Manager to lead our people operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring legal compliance (both local and international alignment), and fostering a high-performance culture within our Rajagiriya office. As a key leadership figure, you will bridge the gap between management and employees, supporting business needs through the development and management of HR strategies.
Location and Work Environment- Office Location: Rajagiriya, Colombo. Professional Office Environment.
- Working Hours: Full-time position with UK standard working hours (SL 1.00pm to 10.00pm).
- Flexibility: Flexible one-off work from home options available post-3 months, at manager discretion.
- Note: Some flexibility is required to coordinate with UK-based leadership and international teams.
- Developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with the overall business goals.
- Managing the recruitment and selection process to attract top-tier talent.
- Overseeing the performance appraisal system and career development initiatives.
- Ensuring legal compliance and maintaining updated employee handbooks and policies.
- Nurturing a positive working environment and managing internal communications.
RequirementsEducational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., PQHRM, CIPD, or SHRM) is highly advantageous.
- Fluency in Spoken and Written English is essential for communication with UK stakeholders.
- Overall Experience: 5 - 10 years in HR related roles.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3 - 5 years in an HR Leadership or Senior Management position.
- Environment: Experience working within multi-entity organizations or international firms (BPO/KPO) is preferred.
- Expertise: Proven track record in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and HR policy development.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and payroll management software.
- Strong understanding of Labor Laws and familiarity with UK HR best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to handle complex employee relations issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
