Job Description
Lead the design, implementation, and governance of reward strategies that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Drive initiatives that enhance employee experience through effective reward communication and integration.
Additionally, analyse HR data and make recommendations considering impact on other practices. Support delivery of Remuneration and Benefits processes over periods up to 1 year. Provide input into Total Reward strategy and manage external market data gathering and relationships.
Key Result Areas
Remuneration Governance and Policy: Update and refresh as required the governance framework and policy which oversee remuneration practices across the group. Review market developments (e.g. updates to King governance requirements, Companies Amendment Act) to ensure our practices remain best in class. Support reviews of compliance.
Remuneration Report – Manage the delivery of the annual Remuneration Report including developing and reviewing sections as well as working with the Finance team to finalise specific results portions of the report.
Manage the execution of our remuneration committee workplan. This will include attending Management Remuneration Committee sessions, drafting papers for the committee covering certain aspects (such as Executive Remuneration and Governance) and project managing the papers for each meeting together with various stakeholders.
Support the Remuneration Committees with ad-hoc requests.
Long-Term Incentives – Project Manage the delivery of the main and interim grants, including timelines, communications and Workday processes. Work with the finance team to ensure appropriate estimates are available.
Bula Tsela – Manage grants to new eligible employees and support Sharescheme administration, Group Finance and other stakeholders with the management of the scheme where necessary.
Exco Remuneration: Provide regular reporting to Exco on their Minimum Shareholding Requirement. Review the policy as required and support with benchmarking exercises for Executive Committee members.
Market benchmarking: Regular review of market practices to ensure adopted approach remains relevant and fit for purpose.
Support enhancing the Remuneration, Benefits and Performance community of practice across Old Mutual with information sharing.
Support the Group Remuneration, Benefits and Performance team, especially through the Q1 Remuneration cycle.
Analyse HR data and make recommendations considering impact on other practices.
Consult with HR Business Partners on reward and benefit policies.
Requirements: Skills, Qualifications, Experience required
Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
Experience: 8+ years in HR with at least 5 years in reward management and governance roles.
Skills: Strong knowledge of reward strategy, governance, and compliance; advanced analytical and communication skills; ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
