The Role

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our UKI HR Regional Team.

The successful candidate will work closely with our ER Lead, and be responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment, managing employee relations, and supporting the development of People Managers. The role will also involve leading TUPE consultation processes and integrating new employees during a period of rapid growth and transformation.

 

About the Role

As our Senior HR Manager, Employee Relations, you will:

  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues

  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances in a timely and effective manner

  • Provide support for development and delivery of any action oriented/employee relations training, toolkit or resources to upskill managers to deal with people in a fair and effective manner

  • Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations

  • Work with HR Lead to monitor and analyse employee relations trends and make recommendations on proactive measure to address issues

  • Manage employee discipline and performance improvement processes

  • Support business with any restructure and guidance and support for any acquisitions and divestitures including any TUPE consultation requirements as required

  • Support the wider HR team in reviewing and updating HR core processes and partner with the HR Lead to engage with key stakeholders such as HRBPs/HR Ops/business leaders to upskill and ensure understanding of roles & responsibliities

  • Partner with HR and business leaders to develop and execute employee engagement initiatives

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders, and utilising the HR Function to deliver value to the business unit

  • Analyse internal and external data to identify people and culture trends relevant to the business

  • Highlight areas of people risk to the business unit, key stakeholders and HR function

  • Be a role model for the UKI People team in coaching/supporting them

 

About You

To be our Senior HR Manager, Employee Relations you will likely have:

  • Proven experience in conflict resolution, mediation, and a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, including TUPE.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Broad experience in all aspects of HR partnering, including reward, employee relations, talent, succession planning, restructuring, and leadership. A commercial and pragmatic approach to human capital solutions is essential.

  • The ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, possess good presentation skills, and have the capacity to challenge the status quo.

  • A business, HR, or relevant university degree is desirable, with a preference for CIPD qualifications in the UK.
