What You Will Do:
- Drive development and execution of People Plan for assigned countries designed to enhance employee, manager, and organizational effectiveness.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and Global HRBPs to develop and implement HR programs, processes, and tools within respective client groups.
- Play a consultative role with managers in a variety of areas including communications, employment law, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, team and individual development, practice/policy interpretation and application, and other management challenges.
- Partner with talent acquisition and business leaders in the development and execution of staffing strategies to ensure recruitment of high potential talent at appropriate staffing levels. Recommend changes to staffing strategies as appropriate.
- Drive the labor relations agenda with local Works Councils across new programs and annual HR programs, such as bonus allocations, installations of new systems and processes, change management, etc.
- Use HR data analytics and business information to consult with senior leaders and other functional leadership to develop appropriate HR strategies and solutions.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to senior leaders and line management (including but not limited to coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions).
- Resolve complex employee relations issues (such as harassment and discrimination allegations) in a balanced, fair and objective manner, using appropriate counseling, investigative, intervention and mediation techniques.
- Provide recommendations and course of action necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship that is consistent with the Company’s practices, policies and procedures. Serve as a neutral party.
- Complete all other duties as assigned by management.
What You Will Bring:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluent English – written and spoken
- Either Hungarian or Romanian – high degree of language competence – written or spoken
- Experience of driving programs across sometimes complex structures
- Deep expertise in managing HR demands with varying employment laws and cultures
- Experience of working successfully in a US culture
- Directly supervising a team of 3-4 HR professionals
- No direct budget responsibility
- Previous experience of working in an international business, proven to participate as a member of business-wide HR & management team
- HR Qualified to degree level (or equivalent relevant experience) ; sound and current knowledge of local country employment law
- Highly collaborative with a strong desire to deliver results and create a positive work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to adapt to a variety of communication settings and styles
- Strong prioritisation skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, whilst simultaneously being accountable for personal delivery and results
- Understanding of commercial drivers
