Role Summary
Our APJ HR team is seeking a talented Senior HR Generalist to join us! This role focuses on both HR operations and business partnerships. If you’re passionate about engaging in diverse areas of HR and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, we’d love to connect with you!
As the Senior HR Generalist, you will report to the VP of Human Resources (APJ) and provide operational HR support to managers and employees within the assigned country. This role plays a pivotal role in implementing our people initiatives, delivering exceptional internal client support, and driving HR functional excellence while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Please note this role is open to candidates who are currently based in Japan with full working rights
What You Will Do
- Collaborating with business leaders to understand their objectives and provide proactive HR support.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining regional HR programs in compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Serving as a key contact for HR-related inquiries and representing the HR team to our employees.
- Partnering with the global HR team, including HR Centers of Excellence, to implement and support company-wide programs and initiatives.
- Managing confidential and sensitive employee relations matters, including but not limited to performance management, conflict resolution, and investigations.
- Driving continuous improvement to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in HR operations.
- Supporting the rollout of global programs and initiatives.
- Participating in the development of HR programs to support ongoing growth and capability.
- Managing the annual salary review process across business units, including grading reviews and promotions, remuneration panels, recommendations, and outcome analysis in line with the agreed global process and framework.
- Partnering with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a smooth and seamless recruitment and onboarding process for new hires.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in the high-tech sector.
- Prior experience working in a matrix organization.
- A 'people' person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, local employment legislation, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with metrics and fact-based decision-making.
- Resilient and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high energy.
- Fluent Japanese language skills
