SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST

OVERVIEW:
The Senior Human Resource Generalist will manage and execute key HR functions while providing comprehensive HR support to all areas of the business. This position will oversee various HR tasks such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws. The Senior HR Generalist will work closely with the HR Business Partner, other members of the HR Team, managers, and employees to promote a positive work environment and ensure the smooth operation of HR processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruitment and Onboarding
- Inputs and manages job requisitions in Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Sources candidates when necessary, assists in candidate screening, and actively collaborates with hiring manager to determine position needs
- Consults with HRBP on position compensation and job offers
- Manages pre-hire and post-hire onboarding initiatives
- Manages voluntary and involuntary employee exits to include conducting exit interviews, processing final pay and benefits, and ensuring smooth offboarding process
- Employee Relations:
- Provides assistance to employees on HR-related matters, conflicts, or complaints
- Conducts investigations in coordination with the HRBP
- Creates and distributes disciplinary action when necessary
- Promotes positive employee relations and fosters a respectful and inclusive work environment
- Payroll Administration:
- Assists in payroll processing initiatives when needed
- Employee Development:
- Ensures budgetary compliance for hourly performance reviews
- Coordinates with the HR Business Partner on compensation for promotions and transfers
- Extends internal offers and promotions
- Headcount
- Ensures headcount compliance and monitors employee count on a regular basis
- Assists with monthly headcount report by completing temp employee tracking
- Participate in weekly meetings with MAU
- HRIS system management:
- Maintains various filing systems (Workday, ADP, Kronos, and UKG) and ensures records are accurate and up to date
- Updates employee records to reflect personnel changes, promotions, and terminations
- Benefits Administration:
- Supports benefits enrollment processes and assists employees with benefits inquiries
- Assists employees when making changes to benefit elections and ensures updated paperwork is collected and filed
- Compliance and Policies:
- Stays updated on changes in employment laws, regulations, and labor laws
- Works in accordance with HR policies and procedures
- HR Projects and Initiatives:
- Contributes to HR team projects such as employee engagement surveys, data audits, or policy reviews
- Assists with HR-related communication and employee engagement initiatives
- Collaborates with HR team members on process improvements and best practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP, Workday, UKG, Kronos) and MS Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and employment laws
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling HR data
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines, able to handle multiple projects and responsibilities
