Job Summary & Responsibilities

As a Senior HR Generalist, you will play a key role in our ability to deliver what we promise to our customers. 

 

As a Senior HR Generalist, you will drive the culture, development, and engagement of the workforce through assisting with talent management and talent acquisition activities, building and supporting a positive culture and ensuring an effective organization by: 

 

  • Support the hourly employment office as a subject matter expert, assisting with workforce deployment, people power management and onboarding based on contractual obligations and corporate policies 
  • Train, develop and guide the plant Employment staff 
  • Assist the Talent Manager in developing a strong talent pipeline and succession plan, identifying employee development needs and leveraging internal and external resources to increase the capability of the organization 
  • Assist the Talent Manager with workforce planning, including organizational design, recruiting strategies, hiring and onboarding process and HRMCs 
  • Assist the Talent Manager with the performance appraisal process and development process cycle, investigations and salary bargaining unit responsibilities 
  • Supporting the implementation and execution of our lean manufacturing methodology 
  • Driving a positive workplace culture by supporting plant employee engagement initiatives 
  • Lead training activities and identify best practices for read across 

 

Key experiences and know-how:  

 

The following prior experiences will be required for someone to be successful in this role: 

  • Employment and/or Labor Relations experience 
  • Collaboration with leaders regarding their training needs 
  • Managing HBU manpower and headcount for the plant 
  • Utilizing lean manufacturing tools in the context of employee development 
  • Analyzing data and using data to make decisions 
  • Experience with managing conflict and having difficult conversations

Preferred Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources or related field 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources or related field 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources or related field 
  • Experience leading others 
  • Manufacturing experience is highly desirable
