The Sr. HR Data Analyst serves as the connective tissue between HR's business questions and the data that answers them. This role supports Convergint's global HR function by ensuring data quality across systems, owning analytics and reporting, and leading data migration efforts for the global Workday HCM implementation. The role directly enables HR leadership to make better workforce decisions through clean, reliable, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and own HR analytics covering culture surveys, workforce demographics, attrition, and headcount planning
- Support job architecture initiatives with data modeling and analysis
- Create dashboards and reports that help HR and leadership make better decisions
- Convert ad-hoc data requests into repeatable, self-service reporting where possible
- Partner with HR teams to define, maintain, and enforce data quality standards
- Proactively identify and resolve data issues across HR systems
- Document data definitions, business rules, and validation logic
- Coordinate with global regions to align on data practices and resolve discrepancies
- Clean, transform, and validate HR data from multiple global source systems for Workday conversion
- Review conversion error logs and drive resolution of data issues
- Run QA checks before and after conversion loads to ensure accurate migration

Technical Skills:
- Strong SQL (querying, transforming, validating data)
- BI tools: Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or similar
- HRIS systems experience (Workday, ADP, or UKG preferred)
- Python or R for data analysis (nice to have)
- Modern data stack tools: dbt, Airflow (nice to have)
Behavioral Skills:
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and building from scratch

- Strong communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Curious about new tools and AI-assisted workflows
Education
- 5+ years in HR data analysis, people analytics, or a related analytical role
- Experience working with global data across multiple regions and source systems
- Background in HRIS systems (Workday, ADP, UKG) or HR data conversions preferred
Scope and Impact
This is a global role with visibility across all regions and direct impact on HR's ability to operate strategically. The analyst will be the sole owner of HR data and reporting infrastructure, supporting a company-wide Workday HCM implementation as an immediate priority and building long-term analytics capability that enables evidence-based workforce decisions at the executive level.
Work Environment
Fully remote, globally distributed team. Candidates must maintain consistent overlap with ET or PT business hours. Periodic travel expected approximately every couple of months for in-person co-working and planning sessions.
Performance Metrics
- Workday data conversion accuracy and on-time milestone delivery
- Data quality scores across HR systems (error rate reduction over time)
- Adoption rate of self-service dashboards and reports by HR stakeholders
- Turnaround time on ad-hoc data requests
- Stakeholder satisfaction with HR analytics outputs
