The Role

As the Senior HR Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to business leaders, particularly focusing on high performing technology organization. You will leverage your expertise in talent management, organizational development, and strategic partnering to drive business outcomes and enhance workforce engagement. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment will be key to effectively supporting our technology teams and facilitating their continuous improvement and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with executive level business leaders to align people strategies with organizational goals, particularly in supporting the tech teams to achieve performance targets and drive product delivery.

  • Coach & Advisor: Partners with leaders and managers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their leadership skills, improve employee performance, address challenges, and achieve organizational goals, by actively listening, asking insightful questions, setting clear goals, and providing actionable feedback to facilitate individual and team growth within Clearwater, acting as a strategic advisor and development partner to enhance overall organizational performance.

  • Talent Management: Develop and implement talent strategies to attract top talent for tech roles and support the organization in skill development as they evolve into a high functioning technology and software development organization.

  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, ensuring effective goal setting, ongoing feedback, and performance evaluations for employees to maximize engagement and productivity.

  • Organizational Development: Guides organizational design based on benchmarked data of other high performing technology companies. Assess organizational needs and implement development programs to enhance employee capabilities, including technical certifications, leadership development, and succession planning.

  • Change Management: Lead HR initiatives related to organizational change, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication throughout the organization.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize metrics and analytics to make informed decisions and contribute to business strategy, focusing on talent utilization, turnover rates, and engagement levels within the software teams.

  • Compliance and Policy Development: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, and support the development of HR policies and programs that promote a high performing workplace.

  • Culture and Engagement: Champion initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture, employee engagement, and recognition programs tailored to the unique demands of technology teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as an HR Business Partner and at least 2 – 3 years experience supporting technology.

  • Proven experience in HR Partnering with software development teams, talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations within a technology and/or financial environment.

  • Strong understanding of HR metrics and the ability to leverage data for business insight.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

  • Experience with HRIS and other HR-related software systems.

  • Location San Jose, in office requirement of 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday)

Salary Range

$144,000.00 - $204,000.00

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), PTO, parental leave, and medical leave, STD/LTD insurance benefits.
